Notre Dame of Kidapawan College and Surigao del Norte State University show that top scores can come from schools of any size and from any region.
Top Performing Schools
PRC ranks schools that had at least 50 examinees and a passing rate of at least 80%:
| School | Passers / Examinees | Passing rate |
|---|---|---|
| University of the Philippines Los Baños | 75 / 75 | 100.00% |
| De La Salle University – Manila | 71 / 86 | 82.56% |
| University of Pangasinan | 104 / 127 | 81.89% |
| Pangasinan State University – Urdaneta | 58 / 71 | 81.69% |
| Tarlac State University – Tarlac College of Technology | 58 / 71 | 81.69% |
UPLB’s result is a rare perfect score for a school with that many examinees. It also produced a top-10 passer. The University of Pangasinan stands out too: it had the most examinees of any top-performing school (127) and two top-5 passers.
How the September 2026 CELE Compares
| Exam | Passers | Examinees | Passing rate |
|---|---|---|---|
| April 2025 | 4,940 | 16,913 | 29.21% |
| November 2025 | 4,268 | 14,043 | 30.39% |
| March 2026 | 6,438 | 18,370 | 35.05% |
| September 2026 | 6,337 | 17,062 | 37.14% |
The passing rate has gone up in each of the last four cycles. September 2026 was also the second CELE under the new subject order, which puts Structural Analysis and Design on Day 1 (PRC Resolution No. 1, s. 2026). Examinees now seem to be adjusting to that format.
How to Check Your Name and Rating

Passed? Here’s What Happens Next
1. Register for your PRC ID and Certificate of Registration
PRC says online registration starts November 11, 2026 at prc.gov.ph. On your appointment date, bring:
- A screenshot or printout of your system-generated Registration Form
- A valid government-issued ID
You must register personally and sign the Roster of Registered Professionals.
2. Attend the oath-taking ceremony
PRC will announce the date and venue later. Watch PRC’s official website and Facebook page.
3. Start your career as an “Engr.”
You can practice civil engineering once you are registered. Curious about pay? See How Much Do Engineers Earn in the Philippines (2027 Salary Guide).
Didn’t Pass This Time?
Almost two out of three examinees did not pass this cycle, and many of today’s licensed engineers passed on their second or third try. Here’s how to come back stronger:
- Check your subject ratings. The CELE requires a 70% weighted average and no subject below 50%. Find out whether you missed the average or fell below 50% in one subject. Those two situations need different review plans.
- Target the next exam. The CELE is held twice a year. Our CELE 2027 Schedule and Guide covers the expected dates, requirements for repeaters, and a 6-month study plan.
- Prepare repeater documents early. Repeaters still need a valid NBI clearance and two certificates of good moral character.
