How to Check Your Name and Rating
- List of Passers: Go to the official CSC website (csc.gov.ph) and open the List of Passers for the 9 August 2026 CSE-PPT. Choose your region and your level (Professional or Subprofessional). CSC says only the list posted on its website is official, so don’t rely on screenshots or unofficial pages.
- Your individual rating: Use the Online Civil Service Examination Result Generation System (OCSERGS), also on the CSC website. Both passers and non-passers can generate their result, but only within 14 days after the list of passers was released. Since the list came out on October 6, check yours by around October 20, 2026.
- Keep a copy: Save or screenshot your OCSERGS result. You’ll need your exam details when you request your Certificate of Eligibility.

NCR, Region IV and CAR Examinees: Your Exam Is on November 22
The August 9 exam was suspended in some areas because of heavy monsoon (Habagat) rain. CSC Examination Advisory No. 16, s. 2026 has reset it to November 22, 2026 for these testing centers:
| Region | Testing centers covered by the reset |
|---|---|
| NCR | All testing centers |
| Region IV | Dasmariñas City; Sta. Cruz, Laguna; Batangas City; Morong, Rizal |
| CAR | Baguio City; La Trinidad, Benguet; Bangued, Abra |
What you need to know:
- No new fee and no re-registration. You’re automatically included.
- Same school assignment as August 9, unless your CSC Regional Office says otherwise. CSC will post school assignments and reminders at least 14 days before the exam, so by around November 8.
- If you don’t show up on November 22, you lose the chance to take the reset exam, and your fee won’t be refunded or transferred.
- Bad-weather backup: if a Red or Orange Rainfall Warning is raised in any of the affected testing centers, the reset exam in all three regions will move to January 24, 2027. CSC will announce this at least one day before.
You have about six weeks. Use them well: take our CSE Interactive Sample Exam to find your weak subtests, then follow the final-stretch plan in our Civil Service Exam Reviewer Guide.
Passed? What Your Eligibility Means
- Career Service Professional Eligibility (second level): qualifies you for first-level clerical positions and second-level technical, executive and managerial positions, as long as they don’t involve practicing a regulated profession.
- Career Service Subprofessional Eligibility (first level): qualifies you for first-level clerical positions not covered by special laws.
Neither eligibility applies to positions that require a professional license from a PRC regulatory board. Those positions need a PRC license instead.
Next step: request your Certificate of Eligibility from the CSC Regional or Field Office in the region where you took the exam. Bring a valid ID and your exam details. Requirements and schedules vary by office, so check with yours first.
Didn’t Pass? Here’s How to Try Again
To pass the CSE, you need a rating of at least 80%. With a 14.41% national passing rate, most examinees need more than one attempt. Here’s how to make the next one count:
- Use your OCSERGS result to see how close you were, then focus on your weakest areas: verbal ability, numerical ability, analytical ability or general information.
- Practice with timed sets. Most examinees run out of time on the math and analytical items, not knowledge.
- Watch for the next exam schedule. CSC has already announced its 2027 pen-and-paper exam calendar. File early, because slots fill up fast.
