PNLE 2026 Important Dates

Mark these dates on your calendar. The PRC is strict with deadlines, and no applications are accepted once the portal closes.

Documentary Requirements

To avoid technical glitches in your LERIS (PRC Online) application, ensure you have scanned copies and original sets of the following:

1. PSA Birth Certificate: Original and photocopy on security paper.
2. Transcript of Records (TOR): Must have a scanned picture and the remarks: “For Board Examination Purposes Only.”
3. PSA Marriage Contract: (For married female applicants).
4. Related Learning Experience (RLE) Summary: Notarized record of your duty hours.
5. OR/DR Case Logs: Notarized cases (Major/Minor Scrubs and Handled/Assisted/Cord Dressing).
6. Valid NBI Clearance: Required for both first-timers and repeaters.
7. Examination Fee: ₱900 for baccalaureate degree holders.

The “Board Exam” Attire & Kit

The PRC implements a strict uniform policy to maintain professional standards and prevent cheating.

• Female Examinees: Clinical Uniform (white) with white shoes and stockings. No nameplate, school insignia, or pins. (Pregnant examinees may wear a white clinical scrub suit).
• Male Examinees: Clinical Uniform (white) with white shoes and socks. No nameplate, school insignia, or pins.
• The Survival Kit: * Notice of Admission (NOA).
  • Two or more No. 2 Pencils.

Success Strategies: How to Pass (and Top) the NLE

Passing the NLE in the Philippines requires a weighted average of at least 75%, with no grade below 60% in any of the five parts (NP1 to NP5).

1. Master the “Nursing Process”: NLE questions are situational. Always ask: “Am I Assessing, Planning, Implementing, or Evaluating?” If the question asks for the “initial” action, look for the Assessment answer.
2. Prioritization (ABC & Maslow): When multiple patients are “crashing,” remember your Airway, Breathing, and Circulation.
3. Elimination Method: Most questions have two “distractor” answers and two “plausible” ones. Practice identifying the most nursing-specific action.
4. Shading Practice: Don’t wait until the end of the 2-hour block to shade. Develop a rhythm—answer 10 on the booklet, then shade 10 on the sheet.
