📢 Philippine NLE EXAM ALERT: The Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) has officially released the schedule for the 2026 Philippine Nurse Licensure Examination (PNLE). With the board testing for “Safe and Quality Care,” staying updated on the schedule and requirements is your first step toward success.
Nursing is more than just a profession in the Philippines; it is a cultural legacy. Filipinos are known worldwide as the “gold standard” of healthcare, blending technical excellence with an innate sense of malasakit (compassion). From the busiest hospitals in Manila to the frontlines of global healthcare, the Filipino Nurse is a symbol of resilience and heart.
But before you can join this prestigious rank of global healers, you must conquer the Philippine Nurse Licensure Examination (NLE). This is your gateway to becoming a Registered Nurse (RN), and preparation is the key to turning your “Ar-En” dreams into reality.

Success Strategies: How to Pass (and Top) the NLE
Passing the NLE in the Philippines requires a weighted average of at least 75%, with no grade below 60% in any of the five parts (NP1 to NP5).
- Master the “Nursing Process”: NLE questions are situational. Always ask: “Am I Assessing, Planning, Implementing, or Evaluating?” If the question asks for the “initial” action, look for the Assessment answer.
- Prioritization (ABC & Maslow): When multiple patients are “crashing,” remember your Airway, Breathing, and Circulation.
- Elimination Method: Most questions have two “distractor” answers and two “plausible” ones. Practice identifying the most nursing-specific action.
- Shading Practice: Don’t wait until the end of the 2-hour block to shade. Develop a rhythm—answer 10 on the booklet, then shade 10 on the sheet.
The Professional Goal
Passing the NLE is not just about the license; it’s about proving you can provide safe, competent, and ethical care to the Filipino people and the world. Stay focused, trust your training, and remember: the “RN” at the end of your name is already waiting for you.
