I. Minimum Application Requirements

To apply for the UPCAT 2025, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be a senior high school student expecting to graduate before SY 2025-2026 from a DepEd-accredited high school or an accredited secondary school abroad; OR a graduate of a DepEd-accredited high school or accredited secondary school abroad.
  • Must have final grades for Grade 8, 9, 10, and Grade 11.
  • Must not have taken any college subject/s prior to the opening of SY 2025-2026.
  • Must not have taken the UPCAT before.
  • Must not have applied and completed the UP College Application for either the AY 2021-2022 (UPCA 2021), AY 2022-2023 (UPCA 2022), AY 2023-2024 (UPCA 2023).

  • Start of Online Application Period: April 15, 2024
  • Deadline for Filing of Applications: May 15, 2024

II. Checklist of Required Documents

Ensure you have the following documents ready:

  • Personal Data Sheet (Form 1)
  • ID Photo (2×2 inches or 51×51 mm or 192×192 pixels in size; in color with a plain light-colored background)
  • High School Profile (Form 2A)
  • High School Record (Form 2B)
  • High School Diploma (if applicable)
  • DepEd Certificate of Recognition or Permit to Operate (if graduating from a local SHS in 2025)
  • Certified clear photocopy of the Permanent Secondary School Record (F137/SF10) from another school (if transferring)

III. How to Apply

Follow these steps to apply for the UPCAT 2025:

Step 1: Fill Out Application Form 1

  • Online application opens on April 15, 2024, at UPCAT 2025 Online Portal.
  • Use a valid email address for logging in and receiving notifications.
  • Fill out Form 1 completely and accurately.

Step 2: Await Form 2A Completion

  • The Online portal will automatically forward a request to your high school for Form 2A (High School Profile) completion.
  • Await notification once your high school has accomplished Form 2A.

Step 3: Pay the Application Fee (for Non-Filipino Applicants Only)

  • Non-refundable application fee:
    • P450 for resident foreign applicants studying in the Philippines
    • US$50 for non-resident foreign applicants

Step 4: Receive Your Test Permit

  • Download your Test Permit from the online application portal once available.
  • Bring the Test Permit and required IDs on your assigned test date.

Step 5: Take the UPCAT

  • Scheduled on August 10-11, 2024, at designated Test Centers.
  • Observe minimum public health standards during the test.

Step 6: Fill Out Form 2B

  • Fill out Form 2B within August 12 to September 15, 2024, once you receive your High School Records.

Step 7: Check Application Status

  • Monitor the status of your application online.
  • Check for announcements and updates regularly.

IV. Application Results

  • Check the UPCAT website for announcements on the application results.
  • Register accordingly if qualified for admission.
